The Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology (MS-CIT), an initiative of the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd (MKCL) is a three-month computer literacy course.  The district has close to over 500 MS-CIT centres that have reached more than eight lakh students so far.

The MS-CIT course costs Rs 2,210 and has been formulated to impart important basics of computers and the Internet. And the various MS-CIT branches embody the network structured and coordinated by MCKL.

Each satellite centre can teach 48 students and will house two to three computers each. So far, over 40 lakh students have undertaken the MS-CIT course through the 5,000-odd branches all over the state.


Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) under its Educational Programs has planned to expand the training opportunities and prepare students for a variety of emerging careers.  ‘WAVE’  is MKCL’s flagship vocational education program for enhancing employability of the youth. WAVE courses offer actionable knowledge and job – orientation for a variety of industry sectors.




Rajasthan State Certificate course in Information Technology has been approved by Dept. of Information Technology and Communication, Govt. of Rajasthan.

To remove the fear of IT, RKCL has launched an IT friendly course for the people of Rajasthan. RS-CIT is a high quality and low cost IT literacy program which offers a novel curriculum, excellent study material and learning management system in local languages. A state-of-the-art delivery mechanism leads to online examination and instant e-Certification.


A person who wants to enroll for the course should preferably be a 10th Std passed student (Not compulsory).
